Account security

How you sign in, manage which accounts can log you in, and change your credentials to keep access to your companion secure.

Your weside account is the door to your companion and all its memory, so the login behind it matters. You can sign in with email and a password, or with a connected provider — Google or Apple. From your account settings you control which of these are linked, and you can change your email address or password at any time.

Everything your companion knows about you sits behind this login. Keeping it secure isn’t paperwork — it’s the difference between your companion being yours and being reachable by someone else. Linking a provider you already trust means one fewer password to manage; changing your credentials when something feels off is the fastest way to take back control.

  1. Open Settings → Account.
  2. To change your email, tap Change email and follow the verification step.
  3. To change your password, tap Change password.
  4. Under Connected accounts, link a new login provider (Google or Apple) or unlink one you no longer want.
  • Don’t unlink your only sign-in method — keep at least one working way to log in (email/password or a linked provider) so you don’t lock yourself out.
  • Changing your email requires verifying the new address before it takes effect.
  • Losing access entirely is an account-recovery matter, not something you can resolve from inside the app — keep at least one login path you control.
