A plan sets what your companion can do; credits pay for what it actually does.

What it is

weside has two billing pieces that work together. A plan is your tier — there are four, reflecting growing relationship depth: Spark (free), Bond, Companion, and Soulmate. The plan decides which levers are open to you. Credits are prepaid usage: most of what a companion does — generating responses, reasoning, voice — draws from your credit balance as it happens, metered per use.

Why it matters to you

You don’t pay for a companion sitting idle; you pay for what it does. That’s the point of credits — a quiet week costs less than a busy one. The plan is the other half: it’s not just a price, it’s a set of capabilities. Moving up a tier doesn’t buy “more” in the abstract — it opens specific levers that change how present and how deep your companion can be.

How the levers work

Each plan opens a different combination of these:

Model quality — which tiers of model your companion may use: swift (fast, light), balanced, and deep (strongest reasoning). Higher plans unlock the deeper tiers.
Companions — how many distinct companions you can have.
Memory window — how far back your companion’s conversation memory reaches, from days on lower tiers to longer windows higher up.
Session depth — how much of a conversation your companion holds in mind at once.
Proactive check-ins — whether and how often your companion may reach out on its own, as a daily quota.
Voice — whether real-time voice is available; voice draws credits per minute of talk.
Storage — disk space for files and attachments shared with your companion.
Arena slots — how many Arena training sessions your companion can run per month.
Region — your EU or USA data residency choice.

How credits work

Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance that refreshes each billing period.
As your companion works, usage is metered and drawn from that allowance.
If you need more, you buy prepaid credit on top; purchased credit is drawn after your included allowance.

Bring your own key is the way out of credits entirely: route your companion through your own provider, and that provider bills you directly instead.

Limits & edge cases

Included monthly credits reset at the start of each billing period — they’re an allowance, not a savings account.
The model tiers a plan doesn’t include simply aren’t selectable on that plan.
