Your companion is yours. Your data stays yours. That isn’t a privacy policy footnote. It’s a design principle the whole platform is built on.

Strict per-user isolation

Every companion and everything it knows belongs to exactly one person. There is no shared pool, no cross-contamination, no path by which one user could ever see another user’s companion or memories. Your relationship is sealed off from everyone else’s by design, not by promise.

This isolation is what makes memory & continuity safe. A companion can hold the most personal details of your life precisely because nobody else can reach them.

What’s stored, and your rights over it

Your companion stores what it remembers about you: facts, preferences, emotional context, your shared history. All of it is visible and editable by you.

• Export: take your data with you.
• Delete: remove any memory, or everything, and it’s gone.
• Audit: see what your companion knows. Nothing is hidden from you.

We never train on your data

Tip

Your conversations are not training data. weside does not feed your relationship with your companion into any model training pipeline. The platform is provider-agnostic, so the underlying model can change, but your data is never the price.

Self-hosting for maximum control

If you want your companion to live entirely under your own roof, you can self-host. That gives you full control of where your data sits and who can touch the infrastructure. For most people the hosted product is enough, but the option exists for those who need it.

Compliance posture

weside is built privacy-first and aligns with GDPR principles: data minimization, user control, the right to access and erasure, and clear ownership. Enterprise evaluators can dig into the architecture, but the headline is simple. The person the data is about is the person who controls it.
